 General Summary
An MJMA 6.5 earthquake occurred on April 14, 2016, before the occurrence of the MJMA 7.3 earthquake on April 16 in Kumamoto prefecture, Southwestern Japan. The hypocenters of this strike-slip MJMA 6.5 earthquake and its aftershocks are distributed along the Futagawa and Hinagu active faults.
